Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your divine mercy and intervention in a world marred by suffering and injustice. You, who knit us together in our mothers’ wombs and declare that children are a heritage from You, hear our cry for the vulnerable and the innocent. Violence against children has been going on for far too long—even Your own Son, Jesus Christ, had to flee to Egypt as a child to escape the brutal violence that befell the innocent boys of Bethlehem, whom Herod ordered to be killed in his rage.
We pray for the end of abortion, that every life conceived would be cherished, protected, and allowed to flourish as You intended. Open the eyes and hearts of all people to the sacred gift of life from its very beginning, and guide lawmakers, medical professionals, and families to choose paths of compassion, support, and healing rather than destruction.
We also lift up our plea against all forms of violence and bodily mutilation inflicted upon children. Shield the young from harm, whether through abuse, exploitation, or misguided actions that scar their bodies and spirits. Grant wisdom to parents, guardians, educators, and leaders to nurture and safeguard the physical and emotional integrity of every child, recognizing them as Your beloved creations.
Stir in us a spirit of love, advocacy, and action. Empower us to build communities where the weak are defended, the hurting are healed, and justice prevails. May Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven, where no child suffers violence or rejection.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray.
Amen.
